Traditional Data-Entry Jobs : Traditional data entry from home involves secreterial work which can be medical transcription or simple data entry for offshore companies. These jobs can pay anything from $10 to $15 per hour. People normally search for online jobs which are related to traditional data entry from home. Job Search engine is very good website to find these kind of jobs.
On the other hand, data entry which involves preparing PPC campaigns is altogether a differnt role. This fast emerging opportunity offers unlimited potential to earn huge commissions. These data entry from home programs provide step by step guidance to their subscribers to set up their online data entry campaigns. Affiliate programs pay upto 75% per sale to their members. There is huge margin of profit and thousands of companies to choose from. Most of these data entry at home programs teach about Google adwords and yahoo marketing.
Best Data Entry programs include Data Entry Bank and Home Data Typers. They are both top ranked on Click Bank the online market place. They are by far better than other programs available and offer real value for money.

Word Processing :

Step 1 : Network with friends and relatives. Let everyone you speak to know of your desire to do word processing work at home. Companies that outsource word processing will tell their employees of the need. Some may trust a relative of an employee to work on a long-distance basis, but most will want to interview local people to work from home.

Step 2 : Advertise your services. Place a free ad on craigslist. Go to: http://craigslist.org/, click on your home state, then the nearest city. Click "post to classifieds," then "resume / job wanted." Fill in the box sections with your qualifications and contact information. Your home business will enjoy free advertising for 30 days.

Step 3 : Consider training for at-home word processing work. College courses can certify a worker for grant writing, resume writing, copy editing or specialized transcriptionist positions.

Step 4 : Go to work for a website. Many online word processing positions involve writing descriptions of products or services. Some will ask for dictation or transcription. One very good company that offers at-home jobs is Demand Studios, the operators of this website.

General transcription : Thanks to advances in technology, jobs that used to require a daily commute often no longer do. Transcription, whether medical, legal, or general, is one such career. If you have an up-to-date computer and high-speed Internet, can type at least 65 words-per-minute, and have an excellent grasp of spelling and grammar, you can become a work-from-home transcriptionist.
Depending on your education and work history, you may be better suited for one type of transcription than another. Medical transcriptionists transcribe a variety of medical data, from SOAP notes to hospital records to counseling sessions. Legal transcriptionists transcribe testimony, depositions, interviews, legal pleadings, and letters.
Last, but not least, is a career in general transcription, which is the easiest for a newbie to get started in, as most general transcription companies are willing to give a new transcriptionist a chance, and the work generally doesn't require knowledge of complex terminology.
General transcriptionists transcribe a variety of material, from interviews to meeting minutes to podcasts to conference calls to focus groups to radio shows. If you like variety, and you're a fast typist, you will probably enjoy a career in general transcription.
The main advantage when getting started in general transcription is there is no standard educational curriculum, as there is in medical and legal, so it's easier to gain entry. The key to excelling as a general transcriptionist is proofreading your work for accuracy, grammar, and spelling, and then proofreading it again.
Pay can vary significantly between companies. When deciding what you're willing to work for, remember that transcription isn't simply typing. It involves research, editing, and proofreading. If you are given difficult audio, with a foreign speaker or significant background noise, it may take you three times as long to transcribe as clear audio. Ditto for audio with technical or scientific terms, which may require extensive research on your part. While you may be willing to work for less in the beginning (to get your foot in the door), when you are producing professional transcripts, expect to be paid professional compensation.
Below is a list of companies that hire general transcriptionists. Although some require experience, many are willing to work with new transcriptionists. General transcription is a great career. What are you waiting for? Get started!
